May 9 PURPLE RAIN | RAINY DAY BOUDOIR FOR A PETITE GODDESS

I have no idea why I've held onto to this little jewel-toned treasure for so long, but Miss E's session is surely one of my favorites of 2017 already. I think each wardrobe change she had was so magnificent, each will deserve their own blog showcase!

On the day Miss E came in for her bridal boudoir session, it was cold and rainy. While that may sound miserable to some, it was pure heaven for me. The soft grey light that spills into the studio on stormy days is magnificent. It is so flattering on the skin, too.

Miss E was planning a beautiful March wedding, with an orchid-toned theme.

During our boudoir consultation call, Miss E and I discussed her boudoir wardrobe ideas. We chatted about having that orchid purple hue carry through her bridal boudoir album as well.

Typically in our sessions, we plan for three outfit changes, to add variety and a meaningful storyline to the bridal boudoir album. We also chose some soft bridal whites as well as some sultry blacks. She also opted to do some artistic implied nudes.

Miss E was such an amazing client to work with. She was sweet and funny, but also very much in touch with her sensual side.

She admitted to being so nervous the night before her session, she could barely sleep. But once we began shooting, it was clear she was about to own the day.

Standing at just 5 feet tall, E was buxom and fierce. I am slightly obsessed with how her ivory skin and raven hair combination photographed... It is one of my favorite looks. She was like a tiny, sexy Snow White.
